1/3/20
During these troubled and unpredictable times, The Barclay Guest House remains open, with additional measures in place to protect guests.

The health and wellbeing of my guests and all who visit is my highest priority. There have been no reported cases of COVID-19 in the guest house - I am in regular contact with past guests and am monitoring to minimise risk.

I am also taking recommended precautionary measures to ensure the highest possible hygiene standards as outlined by Public Health England and NHS.

Whether you have a trip booked or are planning upcoming travel, I - Kirsti, will do whatever I can to support you.

Information for Guests:
The Barclay currently remains open and continues to offer Bed &Breakfast.

All guest accommodation is deep cleaned before guest arrival. In the interest of a no-contact policy, if requested, I will only enter the room every 3 days to clean to reduce the risk to you and your travelling companions. If you would like this to be carried out daily, that is no problem. Also, if you would like to change your booking to a 'room only' booking that is also fine, however my dining room is extremely small with a maximum of 12 covers. Should you need anything during your stay please don't hesitate to speak to me and I will make sure you are well taken care of.

Guests who have booked accommodation and are concerned about travelling may postpone their visit to The Barclay for up to 12 months after the date of their booking provided the outbreak is contained by then. If not, another notice will be sent offering a new date. In this case, the deposit already taken will go towards the new booking dates. If guests choose to cancel the booking altogether then the deposit is non-refundable.

We ask that during your time with us you take great care to observe the heightened recommendations for hand washing and personal hygiene:Wash your hands with soap and water often. Do this for at least 20 seconds
Always wash your hands when you get home or into work, and before and after eating
Use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available
Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze
Put used tissues in the bin straight away and wash your hands afterwards
Try to avoid close contact with people who are unwell
Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth
I am continuing to follow the latest Government advice regarding travel, necessary precautions, virus control and hygiene.
